The Art of Preserving What Matters Most
Jewelry Care & Restoration · Nicosia Atelier
Your jewelry carries more than beauty — it carries memory, commitment and legacy, worth protecting for generations to come. At our Nicosia atelier, our master artisans provide the same care and precision that went into creating your piece. From expert restoration to official in-house gemological certification, every service we offer is a promise to safeguard what you value most.
Restoration & Finish
Professional application of a white rhodium layer that renews the brilliant, mirror-like finish and original lustre of white gold, while adding a protective surface layer.
Professional application or renewal of a gold layer, letting you change the colour of your metal from any existing gold (including white and rose gold) or sterling silver to a brilliant yellow-gold finish.
Precise adjustment of precious metals (gold, platinum, silver) for a flawless, secure fit that maintains the integrity of the design. Essential for comfortable wear and safeguarding your valuable jewelry.
High-precision laser engraving technology used to personalize jewelry with permanent, detailed messages, dates, or initials. Provides ultra-fine, lasting detail for wedding bands and gifts.
From stone resetting and chain repair to the full restoration of damaged and treasured heirloom pieces, our master artisans return your jewelry to its original beauty. Because every piece is unique, a preliminary evaluation at our Nicosia showroom lets us identify the exact work required and agree a clear estimate before we begin.
With more complex restoration, the full scope can sometimes only be understood once work is underway — so we keep you informed at every stage, confirming any adjustments with you before proceeding.
- Initial assessment — we examine metal integrity, stone stability and structural needs under magnification to prepare your estimate.
- Progressive updates — if hidden or intricate work comes to light during restoration, we discuss the options and costs with you before taking any further steps.
- Master craftsmanship — precision repair, reinforcement and refinishing using specialist techniques.
- Final polish — every piece passes careful quality control and a complimentary deep clean before it's returned to you.

Certification & Assessment
Every piece is carefully examined by our in-house gemologist at the Cyprus Gemological Laboratory (CGL) before receiving an official Premium Jewelry Report — your verifiable proof of authenticity and value.
What your CGL report includes
- Metal verification — confirmation of metal type and karat purity.
- Detailed documentation — dimensions, weights, and high-resolution photography.
- Gemstone analysis — identification of natural versus synthetic stones, with assessment of any treatments or enhancements.
- Official valuation — a signed report delivered within 10 days of receiving your piece, providing essential proof for insurance and resale.
An on-the-spot verbal opinion from our in-house gemologist. We confirm whether your piece is gold and its karat, and give you a rough estimate of its retail value. Ideal for a quick, expert read on what you have — with no written report. For full authentication, gemstone analysis and a documented valuation, see our CGL certification above.
This Premium Jewelry Report provides an expert evaluation based on visual examination and standard gemological testing permitted by the mounting.
- Non-destructive testing — analysis is performed without unmounting gemstones, so all documented weights and dimensions are approximate unless explicitly noted.
- Gemstone specifications — unless specifically noted otherwise, gemstones have not been tested for origin or treatment and may be synthetic or may exhibit treatments or enhancements common to the trade.
- Appraisal conditions — valuations reflect current market conditions and standard trade practices. Grading results express a professional opinion and may vary depending on equipment, lighting, or testing conditions.
THE ART OF PRESERVATION
A masterpiece deserves a lifetime of brilliance. Discover essential techniques for maintaining the fire of your diamonds and the integrity of your precious metals for generations to come.
COMMON INQUIRIES
We recommend removing all fine jewelry before applying cosmetics, perfume, or using household chemicals. Clean your gold and diamond pieces regularly using warm water and mild dish soap, and bring them in for a professional inspection and cleaning once a year.
Rhodium Plating is required periodically to maintain white gold's brilliant, icy-white finish. For rings worn daily (like engagement rings), we typically recommend re-plating every 12 to 18 months, or whenever you notice a slight yellowish tint appearing.
Pearl strands should be restrung using our hand-knotting service whenever the silk thread shows signs of stretching, fraying, or discoloration, typically every 1 to 5 years, depending on wear. Restringing is essential to prevent the strand from breaking and ensures the pearls do not rub against each other, preserving their luster.
We strongly advise against wearing Sterling Silver in the shower, swimming pool, sea or while cleaning. Prolonged exposure to moisture, soaps, shampoos, perfume and chlorine significantly speeds up the natural tarnishing process.
