When you bring your jewellery to our atelier, we record your contact details and a brief physical description of the item for workshop identification and tracking. You will receive an intake receipt to present on collection. If the receipt is lost, photo identification will be required. Intake documentation serves strictly for identification and scope of work; it does not constitute a financial valuation or gemological appraisal.

Your jewellery is logged into our inventory and stored securely whenever it is not on the bench being worked on by our master artisans.

Standard repairs and restorations take approximately 2 weeks. Each piece is examined under magnification before work begins, then receives precision repair and a complimentary deep clean before final quality inspection.

Some gemstones carry natural risks during heating, soldering, cleaning, unsetting, or resetting—particularly stones with existing cracks, internal inclusions, or fractures, heat-sensitive stones (such as emeralds, opals, and pearls) and stones with surface-reaching treatments. Additionally, setting or handling gemstones provided by the client that were not supplied directly by our atelier is undertaken at the owner's risk.Every piece is inspected under magnification at intake. Where we identify a stone at risk, we will explain the situation to you and ask for your approval before work begins. Aris Tsiropoulos Ltd cannot accept responsibility for damage arising from a stone's pre-existing condition, natural fragility, or undisclosed treatments once you have approved the work. This does not affect our responsibility for the professional care of your jewellery while it is with us, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Due to the handcrafted nature of jewellery repair, factors such as hidden solder joins, exact precious metal consumed, or unforeseen bench labor can only be determined while work is actively underway.

Initial intake figures represent preliminary estimates, and final costs are confirmed upon completion based on actual bench time and precious metal used. Should we discover significant structural complications or require work substantially beyond the initial scope, we will pause and contact you for approval before continuing.

We will notify you when your jewellery is ready. Please collect it within 90 days of notification. Items not collected within this period may be subject to a storage fee.

Every piece is examined by our in-house gemologist at the Cyprus Gemological Laboratory (CGL) and documented in a signed CGL Appraisal Report: a detailed professional record of your jewellery and its estimated value.

What your CGL Appraisal Report includes:

— Metal verification: Accurate identification of metal type and karat purity for pieces crafted in gold, platinum, or silver.

— Detailed documentation: Gross weight, dimensions and high-resolution photography of your piece. Stones are examined while mounted, without removal, so gemstone weights and dimensions are estimated.

— Gemstone analysis: Advanced optical identification of natural versus synthetic diamonds and coloured gemstones, complete with an assessment of treatments or enhancements.

— Professional valuation: An estimated retail replacement value, delivered in a signed, official laboratory report within 10 working days of receiving your piece. Ideal for insurance coverage and estate documentation.

Leave your piece with us for examination by our resident gemologist. We test whether the diamonds are natural, identify coloured gemstones, and verify the metal type and karat. You receive our findings, along with an indicative estimate of retail value, as a verbal opinion when you collect your piece.
